In the neighborhood, buy your French baguette as it comes out of the oven from the bakery down the street, some fresh cheese from the cheese shop, a roasted chicken from the local rotisserie. At the foot of Montmartre, wander from your new Parisian home to the heart of the village and through its winding, cobblestone streets. Just steps away from the metro, multiple bus lines as well as the now famous bike rental "Vélib'", you also can visit very easily (and very quickly!) all the other Parisian neighborhoods, monuments and attractions: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra Garnier, the Marais, Musée d'Orsay, Musée du Louvre, ... just to name a few!
Two of the more not-so-well-known treasures in Paris are also 5 minutes away: Marché aux Puces de Saint Ouen and Marché Saint Pierre, respectively the largest antique and textile markets in the world.
If it’s activities you are looking for, the public pool, gym, movie theaters, ice skating rink, nightclubs, bowling, tennis courts and even a spa are all in easy reach.
